Google Play Book Store ebook + audiobook package from only £195
Our new association with Google Play Book Store enables us to offer clients a unique production and distribution package comprising not only an expertly produced ebook but a professionally compiled audiobook that can be bought and downloaded from Google Play Book Stores serving 64 countries, from Argentina to Vietnam – all at a fraction of the cost associated with studio-recorded audiobooks.
Real voice sampling
This affordable new option owes to the latest advances in human-voice sampling and machine-language technology developed by Google. It is not be confused with past attempts at achieving anything like realistic computer-generated speech – such as the iconic Speak & Spell toy, which used a synthesised voice chip from its launch in the 1970s right through to 2019. Samples of just two of the voices available to narrate your Google Play Book Store work can be heard at the foot of this screen page. Several different narrators, including those with natural American and Asian accents, may also be used.
It should be understood that unlike a radio play, which typically uses several actors to play different characters, an audiobook usually uses only one voice, which serves as the narrator and performs the parts of every character in dialogue.
Worldwide sales opportunities
The countries served by Google Book Stores and from which your ebook and audiobook will be available to buy (subject to local restrictions or conditions) are Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chechnya, Denmark, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Vietnam.
No Google set-up fee and a 50%/70% royalty
For the time being, Google are not charging self-publishing authors for adding an ebook and audiobook to the Book Store, and will pay a royalty of 50% of the recommended retail price the author chooses to apply for the audiobook and 70% for the ebook. Royalties will be credited direct by Google to your designated bank account. Our fee for producing a Google Store ebook and audiobook for a work of up to 100,000 words is £195. There will be a pro rata charge for longer manuscripts.
Please use the inquiry form to provide details of the work you are interested in publishing and we shall respond promptly.
